GoPro does it again with an amazing motocross video. They had at least 3 drivers hooked up with some helmet cameras and added in some other cool jib footage to make this a great all-around video.

Wednesday, July 21st, 2010This week’s drool-worthyness is just mind-blowing in the fact of the content more than anything. The Mega Avalanche is a downhill mountain bike race in the French Alps (Alpe d’Huez to be exact) that starts at the top of a gondola in the snow, crossing to rocky terrain where the snow fully melts, and finally finishing in green pastures at the bottom of the mountain. It’s something like the opposite of the Tour de France!
Now, helmet cams are not the primary camera throughout the video, but they are used sporadically from bikers and skiers (who happen to be filming the up-close action). It’s a great element to keep the viewer engaged and feeling as if they are participating themselves. The rest of the video is filled with awesome helicopter shots, and if you can afford that, you can probably outfit every single rider with 3 helmet cams from camarush for the next event!

Drool-worthy video: 2010 401Rally
Friday, May 28th, 2010Here’s a great video spotted by the fine folks at VholdR (makers of the ContourHD1080p) this week. Byron Garth and co-driver Sky Pinnick of 401Rally show us their run at the Oregon Trail 2010 this year. With a bunch of different angles and some good editing, it really makes a cool POV view of a rally race, even passing by Dave Mirra. These guys were smoking the track until a tree decided to jump out in front of them!
Don’t try to repeat this on your way to the office in the morning!
